My Trip to Malolos, Bulacan (Again…)

yep, my favorite place to visit… (also my mom’s favorite… dahil sa violeta village, bilihan ng mga halaman) been here many times… (most of my college life… malolos ako nag aral e… hehe!)

flower shot, using kodak gold…

Aliwan 2010

Yes! it’s my first time attending to this event! together with my film buddy Noel, we explored the Mall of Asia “jungle” (ang laki kasi). We intended to join the contest, but to our surprise, the event was infested wit photographers! haha! i can’t get a decent shot on the parade show… (well, my film camera’s lens is a 50mm kit lens… tsk! tsk!) oh well, so much for the plan, here are some samples from my kodak gold roll of film. :-)

Aliwan 1

People participating in the aliwan event… mababait! parang cosplay event lang! hehe!

this one’s grabbing some of the photographer’s attention… nasa taas ng scaffolding. hehe!

mostly my shots were before the parade… (that’s the only time i can get closer with the participants… ) sa parade, i’m using my digital camera because of it’s uber zoom functions. hehe!

Paco Park. using d76 as developer, kodafix as fixer Ilford delta 400 (bw film) 20mins 1+3 solution.

Eman & Leslyn pre-nup

Noob pre-nup shots with these 2 college schoolmates who ended up getting married. (congratulations!) now i know that it’s a no-no to use a 400ASA film on broad daylight. tsk! tsk! it would produce noisy/grainy photos. (or is it the way i developed my film?!? hmm…)

First shot

yep, its grainy. haay… sana 100asa/iso film ginamit ko…

a shot in paco park. i really hope i used 100asa film rather than this ilford 400... haaay....

second photo

fort bonifacio

taken @ fort bonifacio. (and it’s free! yehey! it’s not a formal pre-nup so why should we pay? hehe!)

third photo

from the wall

again, its quite grainy. lesson learned. at salamat kila eman at leslyn for the opportunity. hehe! (at hopefully sa wedding day din… camera snipe mode!)

compared to my dslr shots?! uhmm… here’s the link… LINK CLICK HERE

all i have to say is… practice pa ko! hehe!

An Olympus OM-1, Sent In!

manilacamerastyle:

I’ve always been a fan of the Olympus OM series. Small, great lenses, awesome design, and reliable - what’s there not to like? So naturally, I was thrilled to have this sent in!

According to Benjamin, it’s caretaker:

I’m benji, and been recently addicted to film cameras. i bought this OM-1 because the owner won’t sell it if its just the lens. (my primary idea was to get the 50mm OM lens and fit it with my olympus E-520). after acquiring, i purchase a film just to test my photography skills with film… and i’m very much irritated with the results. with that, i begin researching and learning the sunny 16. at first i thought that the metering system of my OM-1 doesn’t work. but when i insterted an SR44 battery, it worked! Attached with this mail is a photo of my OM-1, and some shots with black and white film. thanks for the time reading this!

More power to manilacamerastyle.com!

Thanks, Benji! More power = more cameras and photos, so keep ‘em coming!

Here are some photos Benji shared using the OM-1 + Zuiko 50 combo:

Nice!

Via manila camera style - send us your cameras!

a really sad day… my world lost a really kind-hearted woman. :’(

Rest in Peace Aunt Fe
